A saturated ruby color, the '08 Novy Syrah 'Garys' Vineyard' is a decadently rich brooding wine that requires hours of aeration to reveal aromatics of black and blue fruits, gun flint, peppered meats and black olive. The juicy palate is all black fruit and spicy oak flavors with some more olive and licorice lingering on the intense finish.

A dark ruby, the '07 Novy Syrah 'Garys' Vineyard' is an extraordinarily rich and well structured effort from the Santa Lucia Highlands. Earthy aromas of forest floor, pepper and minerals wafted from the glass. Chewy and full-bodied red fruit flavors lead to an intense finish of moderate length.
