This is the white 2019. Oxydative and disjointed. Avoid.

Blackberry and cassis-scented #cotesdebordeaux #merlot - dominant blend. Fruit-forward nose touched with dried mint and sage transitions nicely to bright acidity mouthfeel, some oaky spice and substantial tannins on the finish.

2016 vintage. If I understood well l, this is a 25 hectares organically farmed plot from the Château Les Grands Moulins (one of the most amazing values in the wine world), owned by Jean François Reaud, who is also the founder and president of "vignobles Gabriel & co", undoubtedly a quality label. While this 2016 is not as good as the amazing 2018 Grands Moulins, it's very good value at 7,44 euros. Very ripe, slightly jammy blueberry fruit, with good acidity and ripe tannin. Abv. 13%. Another winner under the Gabriel & co. label.

It's not you, it's me. When I tasted you I was not in the correct lightweight Bordeaux frame of mind. Wrong time.

Light tobacco with some umami notes (roast beef?) on the nose. Sour cherries in the front, but they’re not intense enough to be unpleasant. Medium tannins with some earthy notes. Slightly sour finish.

Costco cheapie. Perfect color. Ruby red. Aroma is French style Merlot. Funky streak with weird berries (elderberry, cassis, craisins). Flavor is outstanding. Dry as a bone. Berry-licious. Huckleberry and black currants meet blackberry-elderberry syrup. That bitter bite the French do so well is also here in spades. Long linger of tongue smacking kirsch. This is a steal for $6.49! Definite buy again next trip to the biggest box store o them all.
