Tonight is my 500th review here at Delectable and I have enjoyed each and every one. The wine I am reviewing tonight is the 2010 Clos de la Briderie Touraine Mesland Vieilles Vignes Rouge Blend from the Loire Valley. This blend is 40% Côt Noir (Malbec), 30% Cabernet Franc and 30% Gamay Noir.

On the nose there is good red fruit yet a little muted, raspberry, strawberry, pomegranate, vanilla, mocha and dusty soil.

On the palate is a delicate elegance of the same red fruit, strawberry, raspberry, cherry, plum, bell pepper, black pepper, spice and a ice minerality.

The wine is medium bodied with a smooth mouth feel, medium + acidity and medium to plus fine sandy tannins that moves right into a medium to long finish. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend just remember to be safe. Here is to the next 500. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Loaded with character, this wine really starts to shine with ann" hour or so of decanting. Bramble, woodsy spice. Easy tannins and perky acidity. Highly drinkable any time of the year!

Good red blend. Well balanced. Muted red berries on palate with hint vanilla.

Very thin and light. May need to breath a bit longer. Generally unimpressed.
