Nice with Cape Cod lobster tonight. On the crisp side of P.G. but still with a fuller mouthfeel that works well with the rich/sweet meat of crustaceans.

Much better than the entry level. Mild and easy drinking but not really much there

Very young and it shows straight out of the bottle, but it calms down with air. Big tannin off the get-go, dark color, but smooth mouthfeel. The nose is very earthy - tree bark, cinnamon stick, and dried cranberry. Vanilla, oak, and anise on the palate with a bit more earth and some soft cherry fruit. Well sewn-together and definitely Burgundian, although I think I'm starting to favor Californian pinots.

Too young to properly assess. Notes of strawberries, some medium cherry, an interesting bit of mushroom and funk that could be compellingly Old World if aged another few years. As is it’s a fine and easy drinking wine, but could be interesting with some proper cellaring.
