For London Lees Edi Steph Cindy David Day late BD dinner. Turns out Gerwurtz favorite of Mabel and Edi. Wonderful tropical nose of leechee mango etc but with acidity and bite on palate and not as sweet as nose might suggest.

How you would want a Gewürztraminer to be: typical lychee and grapefruit on the nose, soft acidity, full body, looong finish and a pineapple party on the palate.

Complex and top-notch but very sweet. Needed some really spicy food, less enjoyable on its own. Hard to believe this was pitched to me as sec / Demi-sec

Jan 24th, 20192006: deep golden. Apparently a terrible year. Vanilla, and truffle nose, with macadamia nut, honey, apricot, quince and lychee. Medium dry, but very low acidity. Full, layered, with honey, even caramel notes. Sweet tropical fruit, honeysuckle and a kernel, white truffle finish. Good, but chill it to help the acidity.

Honeyed and rich, a little fat but still drinking well, and the off-dry sweetness paired well with lobster, foie gras, and XO sauce.
