Soft and sensual elegant round and beautiful. Ez tannins and perfect balance. At Zahav - Philly’s #1 restaurant. What a treat! Plush and luscious red fruit. This is a fun wine!

Full, deep, luscious fruit, very well balanced. Soft, plush tannins. Just a tad sweet as most Israeli 12's. Glossy oak vanilla yet to be absorbed. Very pure and clean; I'd hope for more complexity, and while this may surface with age, the wine feels too ripe for long aging. For me, at around 60$, this is overpriced.

A powerful Bordeaux blend from a boutique winery in Israel. This blend of 60% CS, 17% Merlot, 23% CF, has deep dark color, a powerful nose, full of spice, licorice, black cherries, herbs, plums, not for the faint hearted, with a robust full dry body, with firm tannins and good acidity, a long finish. My score 89, drink to 2020

Light ruby red in color with a pinkish rim.

Strong nose of blackberries, black currants, sour cherries, bell pepper, metals, earth, spices, peppercorn, oak and forest floor.

Medium bodied and polished with nice long legs.

Dry and round on the palate with cherries, cloves, oak, plums, blackberries, black currants and spices.

Long finish with round tannins and peppercorn.

This is a nice marriage between old world and new world. Like a Bordeaux with a twist.

14.1% alcohol by volume.

58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc .
2008 vintage.

Opened up nicely. Bold yet balanced. Paired well with aged prime rib and potatoes. Well executed Israeli wine.

Enigma remains my favorite Israeli wine. And this old boy is still alive and kicking.

Very well balanced blend - smooth tannins, ruby pit fruits, high alcohol. Really opens up after bit. Loves to pair with big meats!

It's not Napa or Bordeaux but it is really good!
