Really nice aroma of black truffle, dried roses, ash. Medium weight on the palate and dry velvety tannins.

Stunning nose. I adore 17 at Ar Pe Pe. So elegant and finesse driven with stunning aromas. Just in your face soppy cherries, confectionery cherries and vivid roses, tar and tobacco on a bed of minerality. This is so expressive. Juicy and sweet and just so transparent and complex. Finely grained tannins and lovely freshness and purity. Terrific opulence and inner mouth aromas. Ripe and crunchy tannins and a silky texture and a lovely pitter patter of an elegant, expressive and persistent finish. Gorgeous wine. Knocked me out. The drinkability right out of the gates is remarkable as is the freshness. Wonderful vintage for this.

These aged ARPEPE riservas are no joke. Real bricking, ruby-brown almost to the core. Full on tertiary. But also very pretty from the get go: chestnuts, barley porridge, cherry juice, baking spice, dried oregano. And that beautiful cool core Valtellina character. Nothing left to be desired on the palate either, long tart, smooth and resonant. Very precise and impressive.

Nebbiolo perfection. What more could I say? Let it breathe at least an hour before consuming.

Needed a few minutes to open up but wonderfully aromatic and silky smooth. Sour cherry with floral and herbal aromatics.

Took time for the Brett to fade away, ended up being silky, rustic and lush.

Strawberry, tart-n-tiny red cherries, pink & red rosebuds. Tannins take a minute to show themselves. Earth, dried porcini. Delish!
