Fine tannins, medium+ finish, lively acidity, good structure, ending with fruit, pepper and earthy spice. An ok Pinot, however very pricey with many others better at better price points.

On the nose, you get big smoke from the 2008 fires in the greater Napa/Sonoma. It shows on the palate as well. Then, rhubarb, pomegranate, strawberries take a back seat to the smoke and the baking spices; nutmeg, cinnamon. Light framing on their 08. Slight chalkiness and minerals on the finish.

A real cab drinker's Pinot Noir. We tasted this from the barrel today at the winery and thought it was so good we got a couple of bottles for dinner. A full bodied wine with dark fruit, spice and oak on the nose. Excellent flavors of blueberries, baking spice and chocolate on the palate. Nicely balanced with lots of backbone if you are inclined to age wines. For me, let the party begin! First night in Napa!

We love Del Dotto wines! "Silk juice" as they say. Life is better. The sky is bluer. The air is fresher! I feel more dashing and cerebral! Get this new world Pinot if you can!!
