Just had this at another tasting. Had this a while ago. Pinot based Cremant has ripe berry fruit, citrus and yeasty aromas. On the palate raspberry and strawberry with vivid acidity and good mousse. Wine fridge scavenging as the sun finally returns, and found something with the words “cremant” and “rose”—foolproof. And yet, this is a tad disappointing. The bready notes that should be *under* the pretty fruit are instead *over* it. Still, I’ve got a nice book pairing: “There There,” by Tommy Orange.

Aug 4th, 2018Nice Pinot Cremant. Aromas of red berry fruit. On the palate currants, raspberries and cranberry flavors with citrus notes. Fine bubbles with a light mousse. The finish is crisp, good balance, nice acidity and lingering with sweet fruit flavors. A nice value!

Now this is a Burgundian sparkling wine I could drink every day! Rivals some great rosé champagnes, with fine bubbles, citrus, cherry, raspberry notes, creamy finish, and just a very coaxing style of wine for either pairing or solo consumption, and MUCH more affordable. Burgundian rosé sparkling wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir and on top of that, this one comes from one of the most prestigious areas in Burgundy, Nuis St. Georges, so the fruit in this bottle is already fantastic by traditional standards, from the oldest cremant making family in Burgundy.
