Leather, dark fruit, earth. Still plenty of tannins. What a find!

This took me back to that trip to Bordeaux and several days spent in the village is St. Emillon some 10+ years ago. I am glad I brought a little stash home. Great fruit, complexity. Tobacco, mint, anis, grapefruit, black plum, and leather are flavors that come to mind.

So when you just want something to drink, why not open a 2000 Bordeaux. I was skeptical when I purchased this for $34 last year but it was from the winery. Well, cork split when opening, but it is excellent.

I had the 2000 when it was 16yrs old. The cork split in two what made me a little concerned but the truth came right at the first sip: wonderful.
