This is a value wine. You pour it for parties because it’s a crowd-pleaser but you don’t mind a little spillage. It’s also a versatile food pairer thanks to the acidity of the Sangiovese. The hints of oaky influence add a subtle smoke to the cherry flavor after the bottle has a moment to breath. A creative Italian take for Washington. I approve at the price point!

Big and bold! So much going on! Bursts of mulberry, blackberry, dried strawberry, and thick raspberry sauce. On the back end creeps up the cigar box made of woodsy cedar dipped in plums and five spice powder. Highly acidic and already showing signs of oxidation.

Eh. I like woodsy. But not sticks and dirt and leaves and old tires and ritualistic ash. Also do not enjoy swallowing large chunks. In the bottom of my glass was a ton of chunky something. ?? Have never experienced that from a new bottle of wine.

Wow! Decent, for sure! I was not expecting it to be this good for the price. I'd definitely pay $9.99 for it again. Welch's up front on the nose, but not too juicy when going down. An approachable wine that's perfect for sipping on this afternoon while I get ready for work.

Middle of the road Washington wine. Would buy again but not off the hook memorable.
