Nothing changed from first time having this in 2017 - still tight after decant for two hours - funk on the nose - taste ok but no length or integration - not sure I know what to think - mist people would be ok but not enthusiastic about this - 🤷🏼‍♂️ - critics like it - not sure I do

I like this winery but this baby needs more time to rest - still like it but man is this a beast - still able to smile as I drink it

A blend of fruit from northern Barossa and Eden Valley, 100% Shiraz, deep red with aromas of berry fruits with some sweet spice and cedar. On the palate blackberry and sweet plum with cacao and vanilla surrounded by oak. Firm tannins, a bit rustic, lingering ending with good balance of fruit and oak.

Wow still super dark inky but such extraordinary concentration of ripe dark fruit - polished tannins - man, this has a lot more time and I fortunately I have quite a few more

Great Shiraz from Barossa with great ageing potential. Big core and good tannins, with a floral, spicy, and botanical nose. The pallet exhibits dark vibrant raspberries, black pepper, bay leaf, burnt espresso bean, and silver dollar eucalyptus toward the lingering finish. I still find the RWT to be more my style, in comparison to this beimg more lean in structure and spicy in character. It was a bit less extracted which for some is preferable, but every so often I enjoy more of a rich extracted style of wine. Overall, great effort and I would like to see this one in a few more years.

Cheers!

Big red. Dense, ripe, concentrated. Blackberry, dark cherry, delicious ripe and lush tannin with enough acidity to keep the fruit in check. Have had a few bottles of these and some are jammier than others .. Mood? Cellaring? Still trying to work it out

Dark ripe fruit - plum, cherry, blackberry. Intense, concentrated long length. Tannins not getting in the way

Amazingly complex nose after decanted for 2 hours. Dark fruit and pencil shavings led to blueberries and straight lead. Touch of mint, plum, and eucalyptus finish off the nose as it sits. On the palate, ripe plum leads the way in a mouth filling, silky smooth textured wine. Blueberry, dark chocolate, and interestingly enough a touch of basil as it sits. Stellar. Buy for the nose itself.

Fantastic. Lots Of fruit, plus earthy. Smoked meats starting. In a beautiful place.
