Anninger Zierfandler

Much too good for Austrian peasants.

Zierfandler is weird, but it's either growing on me or this is a terrific vintage. Can't wait to try Mandel-Höh.

For the first Zierfandler of my life, I've got to say this is the best Zierfandler I've ever had! Real clean, medium weight, firm minerality. Does the trick.

Meh. There’s a little funk on the front end I don’t love. I like checking out lesser known varietals and producers. Finish has some nice acidity.

Zierfandler, a quite rare indigenous variety to Thermenregion, traditionally blended with Rotgipfler. Fresh, mineral, great acidity

Key lime, pineapple, nectarine lemon zest, wet stones.

Lovely aromatics. Medium body, crisp acidity, flinty minerality. A touch of spice. Long finish.

More fruit. Lovely.

Apple-flavored wine, with a peach nose. Different from any wine I have had. A pleasant experience with a Summer wine that is great for picnics with cheese. Some aftertaste flavors disappoint, but recommended.
