Easily the classiest of the three late-90’s Hermitage selections in this flight and there really isn’t much more to say. The Chave just hits different. Plenty of life and enjoyment left in these.

I found this very interesting, quite feminine in nature. It’s elegant, floral, more lifted and spiced. This had the most beautiful brett character too, so alluring. There’s a softness to it on the palate and its quite open knit. The muscular and glycerol richness is more subtle here.

Beautiful, this wine is in perfect balance, meaty yet delicate, very fine tannins, red fruits, garigue, will age beautifully, forget for 10 years but so good now.

My 700th wine on here...slowly catching the others.... this bottle needs no intro...black/blue fruit, pepper, olive, acid/alcohol/tannin in perfect balance...
