I opened the 2021 Failla Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.

On the nose there is cherry, strawberry, cranberry, truffles, violets and earth.

On the palate there is bing cherry, strawberry, cranberry, vanilla, cinnamon, spice and light earth.

This wine is medium bodied with a smooth velvety mouthfeel medium to medium + acidity and medium to medium + fine supple tannins that moves into a long red fruit spicy finish. Enjoy the weekend and stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

The 2021 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is potent, dark and pretty big for an appellation-level wine. I would give the 2021 a good bit of air, as the stem character is quite overpowering at first. Dark fruit, sage, lavender, cloves and mocha come into focus over time. The 2021 offers tons of punch and character, but it also require a bit more care than readers are likely to expect of a wine at this level. At the same time, readers who want to explore the range of 2021 Pinots at Failla will find plenty of the power that runs through all the wines in the Sonoma Coast bottling. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2023)

This wine is the 2021 Failla Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir from American Canyon, California.

On the nose there is cherry, strawberry, raspberry, cola, spice, rose petals and some barnyard notes.

On the palate is cherry, strawberry, raspberry, cranberry, cinnamon, spice, sandalwood and forest floor.

This wine is medium bodied with medium + acidity and medium fine tannins that leaves me with a long red fruit sandalwood finish. Another weekend has passed us by and I hope everyone made great use of the weekend that was given us. Please stay safe and healthy and keep looking forward. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Medium Ruby with aromas of berry fruit, tea and floral spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and strawberry, tangy, with tea, cola and cedar notes adding earthy tones. Lively acidity, soft fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with mineral and cedar spice. Drink now & over next 5 years. I like Pinots young with vibrant aromas and flavors.

I have not had this bottling for many years and the price on the list was easy. Well structured, medium minus acidity, mostly red fruit some mature red and minor blue, earth, old leaves

The 2019 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is a terrific introduction to this range, and also an excellent choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Sweet red berry fruit, spice, cedar and mint are beautifully lifted. Medium in body and silky, with terrific balance, the Sonoma Coast Pinot is all charm. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2021)

Unremarkable. Some tartness that gives way to a stilted finish. Some cranberry.

The nose is dying on this wine. The palate was a bit fresher but drink them now if you’ve got them
