Delicious but made me wish I had opened it about a year ago. Decanted for about an hour and opened up nicely. Still, perhaps cellared too long. Wonderful wines from this producer.

An abject lesson in the importance of decanting. Hated this at first, oaky and harshly alcoholic. Let it develop for a few hours and it's come together like magic. It's like I pulled back the curtain on a ballet before the performers were ready. Barbaresco still has my heart.

Raisin. Dried underbrush. Tea leaf. Cocoa. Rose petal. Stiff tannic frame. The wine didn't begin to soften until about two hours after decanting. With structure this tight, please don't open for a long time.

How can you not like it? If a critic says something bad about it, then tell him/her to give me the rest!!

Very dry with chewy tannins. Still fresh after sitting in my cellar for the past 10 years. Nice color, balanced acidity. Still has plenty of life left and can last another 10 years
