A tad too evolved for my taste, showcasing abundant aromas is dried cherries and figs. Pan fried herbs too. On the palate, it’s still lively and fruity, with tannins completely resolved. Drink now.

Good, but was also surprised at the single-vineyard Barbaresco

Happy Valentine’s Day (with a rib-eye). Leather, earthy, more roses than tar, young and fresh for a Barolo, perhaps more like a Barbaresco and more on the medium than full side. Bright tannins, mineral, cranberry, vanilla, potpourri, baker’s chocolate. From Flatiron Wines.
