I don't know why every time I drink Medoc I think of Edgar Allen Poe's The Cask Of Amantillado but there it is..not a bad way to go; drunk and get walled up. Well in this case it would not be a bad bottle to be walled up with. Good notes of leather and blackberry with a long finish that doesn't disappear after 5 seconds on the palate (an unfortunate tendency of some other '10 Bordeaux that get hyped by the pros. Had this with a butterfly'd leg of lamb and rosemary potatoes and it was killer.

Fruity, jammy, a bit funky, slightly earthy. Woody too.
Pairing well with ragu and chocolate for dessert

This was a very solid Bordeaux blend. Needs a little time to open. Not sure why the other ratings are so low. QPR is pretty amazing

Always a great value Bordeaux. 60% Cabernet sauvignon and 40% merlot. Drinking well right now. Purchased at Wegmans for $18.

Really like this wine. Nice balance, not much acidity...a favorite of ours.

Ripe berries and a hint of tobacco on nose. Earthy flavor with more ripe red fruit. A long tanniny finish.
