Holy tannins Batman! Grip, strength and depth. Bacon that is cut through with razor sharp tannins. This wine definitely has not peaked at all. Wish I had a couple more bottles.

This bad boy could age a couple more years of you wanted to...or is drinking awesome right now. Showed best after ask hour decant. Gripping solid tannins, smoked meat and balanced oak.

Think it's a new release, Incredible texture, teeth staining, inky purple, planted in 2000 on a west facing hill over the San Pablo Bay, Southern Petaluma Gap, constant afternoon wind. Intense, amazing structure, violets, raspberries, pepper, meat, funk. 50% WC, Viognier co-fermented, Feels like it's going to age for a long time, has everything, alcohol, acid and tannin, probably coming back to the next bottle in 2024. Ridiculous wine.

Unctuous and richly textured with smoked meats, black fruits and toasty oak. In a word, yummy! Drink now - 2020.

Opaque slightly cloudy violet color with expansive floral, mixed black fruit, olives, and bacon fat aromas. On the palate it's medium/full bodied, with a harmonious structure, supple texture, sweet dusty tannins and abundant blackberry, plum, black raspberry, cacao, and subtle spice flavors and an appealing kiss of minerality. Long finish. 14% alcohol

A rare Gryphon that is drinkable young, but that's '12 for you. Expressive.
