Full. Muscular.

Perfectly aged at this point. Singing with red apple skin, raspberry, earth and leather. Perfect with tea smoked duck.

Dopo la tragica morte di Benoit Germain, del Domaine in questione restano solo bottiglie: alcune di rara bellezza e tutte di inestimabile valore emozionale.

Naso pazzesco capace di combinare in equilibrio - senza note di cedimento - sentori terziari a percezioni di freschezza; agrume, sciroppo alla fragola, tabacco, terra smossa e una pungente cannella che si traducono in un sorso di magnifica eleganza. La leggerezza del corpo si distende in micro impulsi acido/sapidi. Da assaporare ad occhi chiusi.

Superb purity w mineral inflected spice and red fruits

Opened up after about an hour with pretty red fruit, earth, spice, and oak that's not yet integrated. 2 hours later, it became so bitter and unctuous that I couldn't drink it. Not sure about this one, I've got one more bottle I'll sit on for a few more years.

A really good year and Domaine, in a pristine magnum. Dark red fruit and spices in a medium body and surprisingly sophisticated Beaune 1er Cru. If you find it, buy it :)
