Notes of dusty dark plum with raspberry, earth, dark chocolate and leather. Savoury notes of sweaty saddle with a touch of menthol. Like a traditional middle weight Hunter Valley red with more oomph. Silky tannins - an excellent dry red. Really enjoyed this and very easy to keep sipping on it. If you have any you could keep for several more years. From vines planted by Maurice O’Shea in 1946.

Mid to deep red. Earthy and plummy on nose and palate. Still a solid core at 14 years of age. Back in those days Mount Pleasant were making riper more South Australian look alikes before returning to a more medium weight traditional Hunter style in the last 10 years.

Extremely earthy with notes of mushroom and root vegetables. On palate cherry with medium intensity and medium dry tannins. Very Hunter Valley still with a 10+ year future. No doubt the Hunter Valley Wines more than most Aussie sub-regions are built for extended ageing.

Deep Ruby. Aromas of mineral, earth and cherry with leather notes developing. A full bodied wine but at least heading in the right direction of being an authentic Hunter Shiraz. Will live for ages and should be a point or two higher in 5 to 10+ years.

A highly awarded Hunter Shiraz now blooming at 10 years still with a good future. Showing riper berry notes than is typical for the Hunter but still with earthy mineral notes. Good score for the price. 18-

Not really my style these days but drank it with a mate and a massive steak and hooky dooly did it hit the spot. Pretty large on the tannins and hefty but bloody wonderful
