On first impression I'm getting notes of over ripe strawberries, black currants, blackberries and figs as well as spices/peppers and a gamey/meaty smell. All similar characteristics on the palate with a hint of smoke. Tastes like a fruity BBQ in summer! With some aeration the meaty aromas/flavored go away and you are left with a fruit forward and spicy red wine.

Had this February 16th 2015. Had that classic SA funky nose of what I call rhinoceros dung with a hint of giraffe urine a unique to African wines terroir aromas. Not a barnyard aroma of France, but a free range gamey aroma. Great fruit notes and drinks very well on its own or with grilled meats and fresh game. This would go great with wild boar, venison and bison.
