Athene Okanagan Valley Cabernet-Syrah Blend

A Syrah & Cab Sauv blend from Okanagan Valley. Well balanced tannins and full mouth feel. Nice wine.

This 2012 Athene is absolutely gorgeous, smooth tannins, blackberry with touch of earthiness with a hint of tobacco.

Excellent! Medium+ body full flavor. Rocks, minerals, tabaco, acid , just a touch of fruit. Really well balanced.

Velvety smooth tannins.

Espresso and baking spices on the nose, with pie crust and black fruits.

All the black fruit flavour you would expect from a well ripened Syrah and cab. BlackBerry, cassis, plum. Notes of capsicum, leather, tobacco and smoke.

Long finish, full bodied, still has acidity and tannin and could age more but is drinking so well now. Get after this.

It’s just the Syrah not the blend. But effing great nonetheless.

Gets better with every sip.
