Juicy, floral, tannic at first but luscious after 2 hours.

Dark, opaque, deep ruby red. Clear. Heavy intensity in the color, medium plus rim, and no sediment. But this was a coravin with a 2 hr decant in the glass. Love the nose on this one. Starts off with wet gravel and baking spices. As it opens up it changes to marmite and leather. Palette begins a little sweet and is very savory with some notes of marmite and meaty. Moderate to full body with moderate tannins (6.5/10) needs to integrate a little more. Slightly furry and dry. Long finish. Could be cellared for another 2 years or so.

Amazingly smooth shiraz. Well balanced spice sand fruit. Subtle oaky smokiness. Colour is red fading to dark orange - probably at its prime.

2004 in 4/20. Full bodied, tannins in great balance, juicy, bold, rich, dark cherry, dark raspberry, black Pepper, somewhat smoky. A wine maybe not expected to go this long based on scores/drink windows provided by the press. Perhaps due to lack of focus or awareness of SA wines when this was released???? It was excellent!
