Il Toro Toscana Sangiovese Blend

Very dark and dank. Has that red fruity Sangiovese nose, but palette and eye is much darker. Has a good deal of tannins to balanced expected acid. Looking forward to trying this again in a few years, but was still delicious with pizza!

Worth about 20 of the 17 mystery dollars I gave the Garagiste. My palate mostly adapted to the biscuity notes from the wood.

Floral aromas, red fruit and balsamic. Pleasant lingering finish, a bit reminiscent of brown sugar.

Nicely balanced tannins and red fruit forward. Also made a great pan sauce with steak and sweet potatoes.

this one will age for some time. nice fruit but with backbone.

First bottle (8.6):
Fruit isn't really developed. Would like to revisit in a few years. Tight. Probably has potential though.

Second bottle (9.1):
A lot better.
