Classical representation of Amarone the nose is immediately dominated by ripe and stewed black fruits, hints of dark spice and bitter cocoa, on the palate a more dense reflection of the fruit plus a well integrated tannins, supple finish still has great potential for ageing. Overall: fantastic 2007 wine and great value easily compete with the other big guys from the Veneto.

The wine was med bodied, fruit forward and had silky tannins. It opened up real good after a few minutes
