This wine offers lovely red fruit and earthy aromas. Medium in body. Drinks like a Pinot Noir. Solid structure with a lingering finish. A well crafted wine that I will most certainly revisit!

Linalool, chalk, stony minerality, synthetic leather, hints of balsamic - what an oddball nose. On the palate, it’s silky smooth and beautifully balanced. Anise and more leather in the finish. What a surprise!

$16 bargain at Charlottesville Costco. Fragrant with aromas of ripe pear in fresh cut flower as the label says.

Very clean, bright raspberry fruit, good acidity make this Barbera very way to drink and great with pasta and Italian cuisine generally. Medium body. Agree with reviewer who said this is a very nice Pinot Noir alternative. 2018

Holds up incredibly well. Mushrooms, truffles, organic earth are all prevalent, but it still is showing brightness and is lively with some bing cherry and cranberry secondary notes. Very long finish and this vintage could easily be mistaken for Burgundy. A few years ago, I never would have expected to be so pleased with a 17 year Virginian wine.
