Deep black fruit with nice smokey nose. Went perfectly with grilled lamb chops.

Doing well under screw cap. Alcohol maybe a bit prominent, but great all the same.

Terrific. Was a bit concerned that, given its age, there would be no backbone to this one, but it is terrific. Great blue and black fruit aromatics on the nose, good acidity and spice on the palate, with great balance through a surprisingly lingering finish for a 10+ year-old wine. Just terrific.

Excellent wine from Cris Cherry at Villa Creek. I was a bit concerned that this was going to be too far over the hill, but it has terrific flavors. The tannins have really dropped away, but there’s still plenty of backbone to keep it alive. Very impressive.

Terrific offering from Cris Cherry at Villa Creek, this is one of the best incarnations of the Mas de Maha I've had in a while. A blend of tempranillo (50%), grenache (25%), and carignan (25%), this wine has an intense nose of dark berries and spice, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a beautifully integrated finish. Seem to lose more than I was expecting after an hour or two in the glass (maybe suggesting this might not have a lot of longevity), but there is no reason to wait on this one: it's terrific!
