Needed a moment to unfurl. Deeper, more blue fruit (huckleberry) than expected. A more powerful style, still with some grip to it

Slightly herbal, lightly astringent, dense, tart fruit. Lovely wine (whole black sea bass ready to hop on the grill in back)

Nicely evolved and showing great mushroom notes alongside the musk and spice.

Somewhat underpowered compared to most Otago Pinots. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing but lacked a long finish. I have had better Peregrines. Spectacular winery if ever you get the chance to visit.
