Dr. Donald Olson founded Torii Mor in 1993 as a tribute to his late son Leif. The Olson Estate Vineyard was planted in 1972 and one of the oldest vineyards in Oregon, sitting high in the Dundee Hills Appellation at 800 feet on just under 15 acres of Pinot Noir. Aromas of rich berry fruits, black tea and spices. Sweet flavors of raspberry and cherry with a umami character and soft tannins. Lingering finish ending with mineral spice tones. Nice value.

Delicate Willamette Pinot with soft acidity and quiet tannin. Some floral notes on top of the underripe strawberry/raspberry flavors. A little one note.

Sour cherries, a little wet leaf, and good acidity. Perhaps a little simple, but it's a nice wine nonetheless.

Time to drink the 2006's. Fruit still big, fleshy texture. Try with roast pork.

A lovely wine, but a bit past it’s prime.
