Dense, cloudy, blue black core, thin, gemlike, garnet rim. Medium intensity, ripe but not raisined black and red fruit, layered with violets, coffee, cocoa, and vanilla bean. Medium plus body, smooth texture, medium acid, plushy, ripe tannins are forward moving and long lasting. High alcohol 14.8% is surprisingly well integrated and balanced. Medium concentration of fresh blueberry, red currant, coffee bean and cocoa. Red fruit and astringency longer. On the medium plus finish.

Paired this with some Axis quinoa stir fry. Absolutely awesome. A little bit of earth with cherry and lots of red fruit. Not too acidic. I hope I run into this bottle again.
