A very unusual blend of 34% Cab Sauv, 34% Syrah, 19% Petit Surah, 8% Merlot and 5% Malbec.
Pours a dark purple with some ruby at the edges. The nose offers some leafy Cab fruit and some meaty/bloody Syrah character as well. The tannins are still unresolved and feel wood influenced here. Had this with grilled steak and it paired well. Probably better with rib eyes or another fatty cut.

Well done new world red blend, with dark berry fruits and nice oak use. Despite how forward this is, begs for another sip.

Deep glass-clinging purple in the glass. Heady black fruit on the nose. Full-bodied palate of black plum, cassis, patent leather. Medium acidity, medium tannins on the mid-length finish. Good California representative with just enough Old World underneath.

Ooops, opened this by accident. A very good wine.... Too good for paring with pizza but I'll live. :)

Nice fruit after a few years in the bottle that's well integrated now with a good velvety finish. Poured the '08 malbec separately the night before and it was a bit hot and so was this. A bit of raisin notes as well which is disappointing as this was properly stored in my cellar. Hopefully the 09s and 10s will be better.

A great Sonoma Syrah blend! Elegantly smooth, blackberries, boysenberries, baking spices with hints of tobacco & cedar.

Still a nice dark red purple. Big full nose of graphite and dark fruit. Firm tannins on entry and through finish. Palate echoed the nose with a lengthy finish of sweet cassis. This has done well over the years. Actually a bit more to my liking than when young.

Just another example of how to turn a wonderful meal of steakhouse leftovers into a fabulous meal.

Found this while rummaging in the cellar for a wine with leftover pot roast. What a find! A terrific pairing. A terrific wine, 37% Cab Sauv, 29% Petite Sirah, 29% Syrah, 5% Merlot. A masterpiece.
