Opaque! Nose - funky, leathery, baked cherry. Palate - smoky oak to fore, more savoury than expected, plum flavour. Really like this, would stand up to a steak well.

Heaps of blackberry and raspberry, pepper and A light vegetal note. Enjoyed the overall balance on the palate. Starts with a slight sweetness and finishes with a slight bitterness.

A nice ripasso that has great pepper and spice, but unfortunately some brett overpowers the initial aromas.

2009. Perfectly mature. Nice earthy, very slight barnyard, new leather, smoky aromas over lightly pruney, plummy fruit. Intense attack, with rich macerated plums and blackberries, and bakers chocolate. Very full bodied, but great tingly acids. Went great with Neapolitan tomato and red wine braised pork loin.
