Tight, closed off, not a ton there beyond the tannin. Have enjoyed this wine previously so could be the vintage.

I just love this wine as a crowd pleaser, yet something different.

Opened, day 1 was very angry and reductive, day 2 drank with lamb stew and its was very good together. Wine itself pretty dark fruited, you get a little bloody/iron thing as well as smokey. The alcohol feels a little strong and the wine itself is not perfectly pieced together but at the end it was very good with dinner and pretty satisfying

Big. Could use a little time. Bold favors. But still good right now! Dark fruits big spice.

Il Buco alimentari. Wine: problematic, but very good finally with food. Tasted like a blend made from failed portions of other wines.

I was really excited to try a Nerello Mascalese from the slopes of Mt. Etna, but this one was disappointing. The predominant and overwhelming scent is babybell cheese, which is not something I enjoy. On the palate, starts with a nice light body but finished long and strong with more babybell.
