Vintage 2018 | Very light colour, playful smell with spices and juicy taste. Lovely wine for lunch. | we determined the grape correct 🙂

Light in color and in taste, but it's a Nerello Mascalese you can easily recognize. #DWCC #Etnawinelover

Named after the 10-year-long Etna eruption that began in 1614. The wine is clear ruby red; nose full of small tart black and red currants, powerful mineral salinity, light oak, and baking spices; the taste is a mouthfilling eruption (couldn't resist) of dark fruit and brush spices over a dense tannic structure. Very good, but needs a few years in the cellar.

Named after historic Etna eruption which lasted ten years. Vineyard is in the path of centuries old lava flow.

Ok but simple. Seems light to me. Hint raspberry quite tannic.

Taking a break from WA wines with this very light Sicilian red.

First timer with grape from Sicilia. Recommended pairing with swordfish prepared in a southern Italian olive, tomato, caper sauce. Reminds me of a young Chianti crossed with either primitivo or Malbec, oddly enough. Quite interesting.
