Great intensity. Jumps out of the glass. Blind, called Cabernet. Very grippy Barolo tannins in the finish.

Dark fruit with smoke, leather and mint. Almost like a super Tuscan, this has a lot of wood on it. Modern and plush. Not really my thing but if it’s type, good.

The 2006 version is an impeccably made Barolo of real class, focus and character. At age 10 the wine is fresh, with beautifully focused, high toned red fruits, backed by considerable fine tannins. As it edges into an intense yet graceful middle age, all of its flavor elements are just starting to integrate, and are playing together very nicely right now. Cleanly made, this world class red is a highly desirable wine.

What a value Barolo. Tasted like 4 x the price.

Concentrated fruit, with more dates and prune then I would like. Licorice, subtle cocoa and truffle. Mostly resolved but grainy tannins. Generous, if a bit hot. Ready to drink.

When they say it's everybody's dream to live in a villa in Italy, this must be the villa they're referring to. Way young, but magnificent nonetheless.

Most peoples favorite but i favored cannubi as it was more ready, this monster has a good 15-20 years ahead of it yet. Loaded with spice mint truffle and licorice, a black barolo with terrific layering and concentration on the palate. Plenty of tannin left, acidity and fruit, excellent but still a brooding youngster....1989 vintage.

Good typicity and complexity of aromatics. Alcohol is a bit hot and tannins a bit gritty, but this is opening for business.
