Served by the glass and slightly too warm, so my rating could be too low here. But despite the conditions, this was what I want from Valpolicella: zing and snap; forrest fruit; pleasantly short finish, if that even makes sense.

Really changed in the bottle after opening. Initially smoke and tobacco, then opened up to show the fruit.
