My latest bottle from this producer and I still don’t get it. The nose is overripe fruit and mud. Meaty but not so pleasant. On the palate there’s decent fruit but it’s very extracted, and the tannic structure is rather weighty and charred. The fruit underneath tastes generic. Missing the brightness and exotic elegance of my favorite Taurasi.

This bottle was very tired. Stewed fruits, hint of nutiness.
I've had 1 or 2 exceptional bottles of this aine, but most have been misses.

Really nice. Aglianico grape with some Piedirosso. Grippy structure with some medium fruit. Worth trying some off the path grapes!

Solid blend. Make sure to let it open up. Been in the bottle too long.

Dark fruit, rich body. Very youthful still, don't think it's showing its best yet

Great volcanic wines are so singular- really delightful and dense.

I tried the first one of this case I bought a couple years ago and it was still tight and very young. This one seems tired a bit. It took a long time to open up and when it did you have the wonderful flavors and finishes of violets and poached fruits, and Some good chewy, kind of forest floor and herbal spice going on. But then after another hour or so it just got kind of bland like it oxidized too much. Granted it could be me, but this producer and vintage just kind of seems to be all over the place.
