Basket Pressed McLaren Vale Shiraz

Tasty. True to form.

Thick, deep, and delicious.

Took a little bit for this old lady to open up, but she still had some life left in her. I remember how much we enjoyed this wine when it was young.

Smooth as silk.

This 96'still holds the rich flavors of chocolate and blackberry. Definitely held its structure through the years.

2005 vintage bought 2007 and stashed under the house. Just starting to decline likely due to dodgy storage but quality of fruit still shines through. Lovely meaty plum aromas give way to fully ripe and round dark fruit, chocolate, prunes, and black cherry. Velvety and highly quaffable but drink up

So glad that I have more of this wine, will wait at least 4 years before drinking the next one. Still a bright rich deep hue with good clarity. Great spicy notes, great dark fruit, good Tannin structure and mouthfeel.

Sweet but very good on day 1. Unfortunately a bit ordinary on day 2.

Sensational Shiraz.

Tasting the 1994 on 3/31/15. Nicely balanced and surprisingly youthful - good fruit with a plummy finish that lingers-this wine can still be held. The bottle bouquet has some nice cedar notes.
