Pleasantly peppery with bright, juicy red berries and cherries. Easy-drinking, not particularly tannic, and somewhat lighter body.

Bright black fruit, savory easy drinker. An influence of pyrazene is a little too dominant.

Old value Rhone. Dark brooding forest fruit with hints of smoked meats & supple tannins. White pepper spice on the nose too. Quality for £7

Puckeringly dry red fruit, slate, and a faint echo of bramble. Paired exceptionally well with the salinity and bitterness of garlic-sautéed spinach.

Value Rhone blends almost never disappoint me, and this one is no exception... Whiffs of plum and pepper draw you into the glass, and on the palate you are greeted with a gorgeous array of flowers and dark red fruits, along with spice and tobacco, married to a perfectly medium plus tannin backbone. With all elements in balance, the finish is carried nicely by a vanilla/light wood sweetness that lingers pleasantly. Another super tasty Rhone!
