2019 vintage. Owned by the Irish Quinn family. Seriously understated, it showed better the next day. Dark fruit, juicy acidity, spices and good mineral length. Patience required, but this should turn out a classic Fieuzal. Abv. 13,5%.

Pencil shavings, saw dust, plum, bluebrrry and just ripe black currant, leafy and minty too with smudge of char. Tart fruit profile in the palate with med plus acid and tannin.

Great wine
Enjoyed it more after dinner was done, on it's own after it aired out a little longer. I would recommend it, but not sure if it would be a regular in the wine cellar.

cherry forest floor fresh fruit but tannins still a bit tightly wound with longer finish and good structure

Oxidized and reduced, on purpose. More interesting than good.

2018 vintage. Drank in Paris after cote du beouf dinner at home. Quite good, smoothed out after it was open a bit.

Really drinking very nicely. Last had this about 2.5 years ago and my note then said to give it a couple years - and it was the right call. Perfect with thanksgiving dinner number 2. Earthy red fruit, some leather, could use a smidge more acid but still very nice.

Dry J is over, drinkuari has begun.. 😋Bordeaux style from the past. Ceder, pencil, a bit dusty, some red berry fruit in the back. Tannines have molded and give a creamy note now. No blockbuster but a very refined example of Pessac.
