I LOVE a good Cab Franc and this one does not disappoint! I hope my Packers don't disappoint! Winning so far ๐Ÿˆ 6 minutes left!

Given the greenness of Carmenere I've been awaiting Cab Franc from Chile. This 2010 delivers albeit on the new world, richer side of the spectrum. Nice stuff!

Smokey dark chocolate. I normally don't care for Chilean wines, but this is really nice.

Staying in South America, Chile to be exact. I have opened a 2012 Calcu Cab Franc. On the nose I am getting notes of black cherry, red plum ripe strawberry, some green peppercorn and gravel. On the palate I can taste cherry, plum, raspberry, asparagus and baking spice. This is a medium bodied cab franc with medium + acidity and medium + sandy tannins. This is a nice Cab Franc just not what I have come to expect in my cab francs.

Cracking bottle of real wine that satisfies like franc should for under $20. Sign me up for a flagon or two!

I tasted the reserve especial version. Vinegary not so smooth but decent.

Medium body, dark fruits. Not the most complex but good with dinner.

Very nice, balanced Cab Franc. Not as tannic as typical cab franc, little smoother.
