Deep and dark ruby red with a purplish hue. Very tight nose on day one with just a little bit of graphite. On day two it opened up with some dark cocoa and dark fruits. Palate was coated with cherry cola and an initial undertone of caramel. Some raspberries and cherries began to show as well. Moderate tannins (7/10) with quite a dry texture. Moderate body accompanied with more dryness in the finish, adding in an almost paper like texture. Might do better with some time. Drink till 2024.
