Sorry for the lousy photo. Great wine recommended by Josรฉ Luis at Atrio. It was one of the first Primitivos I've ever had that really reminded me of Californian Zinfandel while at the same time had particular nuances from Italy. Fresh and rich at the same time.

Fine drinking 2019 Mandurian primitivo. Full bodied, robust fruit, low tanin, nice length. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Non vintage primitivo di manduria. Cocoa, raisins, cherry, a touch of licorice too. The palate is very round and rich, there is an acid backbone but it's a bit overwhelmed by the richness of the wine. Tannins kick in in the rear but they only leave a slight drying layer that continues on the finish. It's less sweet than other primitivo i had but it's an "in your face" style that I don't really like any more, it's too big anf rich. This was brought to us by my wife's grandma and was served at lunch in preparation of today's world cup round of 16 game between France and Poland that we will all watch together at home.
