Estate Santorini Mavrotragano

Sold as Sigalis at the next level-not. But quite nice.

Estate Argyros, Indication Cyclades. Mavrotragano variety. Santorini

Indigenous Greek red grape variety native to the island of Santorini. Quite plush and oaky. Candied fruits and cherries, marzipan, tapenade. Lacks a bit in the mid palate and could use additional ageing.

Good wine. But it's definitely not a best version of mavrotragano.

Quite an expensive wine for what it is. Need more time, to say the least.

Delightful, light and mineral with deep blackberry fruit.

Earthy, despite light.

Got this during our trip to Santorini last November. Waited almost a year to open it. It did not disappoint.

Vintage 2013 - dry, lots of fruit - plum, black cherry. Better with time.
