Dark ruby in color with a wide brick rim. A Very pretty color.
Strong nose of blueberries, black cherries, wood, light vanilla, licorice, light alcohol, wet leaves, tobacco leaf, dark chocolates, dark coffee, light pencil lead and river rocks.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs. Soft and elegant.
Dry on the palate with black cherries, sweet strawberries, cooked blueberries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, vegetables, green herbs, tobacco leaf, earth and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very enjoyable Brunello. Well balanced and delicious by itself or with food. Showing a tangy and spicy finish, which I loved.
This 9 year old from the great 2010 vintage, is showing a great mouthfeel with great complexity. Peaking now.

Needs 2 hours to open up properly and show some tannins and complexity, so please be patient.
A good sipping wine. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

Holding up really well. Needed some air but opened up after about 30min. Red and dark fruited. Dry, dusty herbs and some truffle...perhaps a touch of some baking spice but only just. A very typical and very well executed BdM.

Pomegranate and serious forrest floor dominate the nose with a hint of porcini mushrooms. Dark fruit of cassis, pomegranate, and stewed blackberries continue on the palate with some lighter tannins. Drink over the next 3 years.

Even nearly 20 years old this is still sturdy. Air helps and eventually a nice core of dark fruit emerges. I enjoyed it but I’m going to let my lady bottle slumber for a bit yet.
