I absolutely loved how clean and fresh this was drinking. Mario's wines are all excellent so it's no surprise that this was executed so beautifully.

Concentrated raisiny fruit and herbs. Past it's prime?

Typical '03. Too ripe, could've been from anywhere. Don't get me wrong, I sucked it down with venison ragú and it didn't hurt at all, but it may as well have been Banfi syrah. Other wines from this producer have been consistently good, though, so blame the vintage.
