Dessert course. Chocolate Souffle, Lemon Verbena Creme Anglaise. Not the perfect pair but showing enough Port quality to pass. Out of really old port. @PlateandBottle

A new Garden series bottling for me. Padthaway is also new to me.
The initial nose was quite muted, only showing leathery note. The palate on the other hand shows great from the first sip with flavors blueberry, orange peel, toffee, black pepper, light medicinal, and thyme. It’s deep, powerful yet reserved. Acidity is holding up and tannins is still profound but rounded. And after 3 hours the nose finally comes around. Massive 16% ABV makes it presence felt at the end.
Probably need another 4-5 years to peak.

Outstanding for the price. Rich, bright fruit without being cloying or pruny. Great acidity to balance. Blueberry, blackberry, some cocoa.

Pine tar, black licorice, blueberry pie filling, and blackberry. Rich and smooth. Leaning towards jammy fruit. Slight heat on the back end which may integrate with limestone finish overtime.

Picked up on a whim at one of our local shops after dinner one night. Blackberry and cassis. Nice mouthfeel. Very round and soft

The Tom Price farewell series. A great 2003 shiraz with a little bit of age on it. A unique flavour that's good but not many years left in this one I think. Very nice every time. Will update the tasting note once we crack the next one in a couple of weeks.
