A classic wine of the mid range that dominated the us market in 2008.

A good one to also constantly revisit.

Deep Smoked eucalyptus branches, mingled with black raspberry, mint, light stave tannins, kumquat acidity.
Very well balanced and very well made.

Deep Ruby, purple edges, with aromas of fresh berry fruits, cigar box spice and earthy mineral notes. On the palate rich ripe fruit, blackberry & black cherry with hints of dried spices. Good balance with slightly firm tannins, opened quickly, and lively acidity. Long finish, complex ending with oak, herb, mineral and earthy character. Will improve with short term aging, but don’t wait too long as you might be disappointed! Very nice Shiraz! Consistent quality, tried a few times!

Plum, fennel, blackberry, fresh wet potting soil. Evidence of creamy oak. Restrained in alcohol and power for Shiraz.

Dark purple in color with a short reddish/ brick rim.

Strong nose of blackberries, cooked plums, dried fruits, raisins, cedar, leather, light vanilla, tobacco, spice box, espresso, chocolates, spices, mocha, coke, graphite and peppercorn.

Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long lasting legs.

Dry and very fruity on the palate, with blackberries, plums, sweet cherries, raisins, vanilla, cedar, licorice, cloves, cola, peppercorn and earth.

Long finish with round tannins and a touch of orange peel.

This 7 year old Australian Shiraz is drinking so nicely now. The alcohol is well integrated with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel. Rich and fruit forward. Chewy and enjoyable even by itself.

Wine Spectator 90 points.

Good right out of the bottle and shows more complexity after an hour of airtime.

A delicious wine with a teeth staining color. Loved smelling on it. Peaking now.

14.8% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$30.

This wine offers a nose of black and blue berries, shoe leather and a hint of black olives. It’s a deep, rich bouquet. The flavors are similarly dark, with berries leading the way again. Black pepper and a nutmeg note also appear, with the fruit staying long on the finish. There is a good tannic structure, easily enough for a steak or beef stew. The oak regimen was nearly all used barrels, so the oak effect is quite nice, not a bit overdone.

This wine is inky dark in the glass and offers up a brawny nose of blackberry, plum and a smidge of tar. Cola and tea notes also appear. The palate shows dark fruit layered with savory spices and mint. The tannic structure is firm, but not overbearing, and the sip finishes dark and medium long.
