I'm not sure how much better Savignin can get. Absolutely glorious; divine.

Epitome of finesse! Concentrated and expressive, with a really deep and focused cut. Incredible now, but time would turn this elixer stratospheric.

This was a fantastic bracket to kick off our much deserved end of harvest lunch. The four Savignin wines were electric and no more so than the 2004 Vigne de mon Pere from Ganevat (which foiled an 18 month Comté perfectly). It was exceptional even in such elite company and somehow looks as fresh as a daisy after 130 months in a single 600lt cask. Easily my greatest Jura white ever - 2004

Wow. This is easily the most amazing Savagnin I’ve had. Deep, brimming with energy and at once totally approachable and nowhere near showing its age. I get the comparisons with Montrachet but this is so much more dynamic than that for me. Waxy, oily, saline, pure Jura. Grateful to get this from a magnum.

Spice, broad in the mouth, squash, nutmeg, nuts, bit reduced. A new experience.

After decanting to room temp, and a little more time, the fireworks started.

From mag--so, so good, not so-so good. Topped-up Savagnin from Marnes Bleues that shows incredible freshness. I'm a fan.
